Doug Altman and Dave Izek formed Altman & Izek in 1986. In the beginning, like almost all small law firms, Doug and David handled practically anything that came in the door. As their practices grew, they grew to like certain areas and directed their efforts to expanding those areas. Still, they never forgot the old adage that “if the client has real estate problem, you are a real estate lawyer,” meaning, that in a service profession, there have to be certain cases where you have to become involved, even if you need to brush up on your substantive knowledge. In 2020, Douglas and Adam branched off on their own and formed Altman Law.

Currently, Doug’s practice concentrates on litigation matters of all sorts, ranging from Federal criminal defense to commercial litigation to Minnesota Tax Court appeals. He also handles matters relating to corporate creation and governance and to business and real estate transactions. Adam's practice is transactionally oriented with a concentration on advisory to businesses on all matters from creation to sale.
